Since heavy rain started falling across the South East last night there have been numerous crashes in Logan and the Scenic Rim that have kept paramedics very busy.
A two-year-old boy is in a critical condition in the Children’s Hospital in Brisbane with a head injury after being hit by a car on Church Street in Boonah late yesterday afternoon.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman says the toddler was taken by ambulance to Boonah Hospital with critical care paramedics and a high acuity response team on board before being airlifted to the Children’s Hospital.
Paramedics took a man in his 20s to Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in a stable condition after he crashed his vehicle into a fence on Fifth Avenue at Marsden just before 6pm.
At Witheren in the Scenic Rim they responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Beaudesert Nerang Road just before midnight. No-one needed treatment or transport.
A man in his 70s was transported to Ipswich General Hospital with minor leg injury following a truck rollover on Cunningham Highway and Radford Road at Warrill View just before 1.30 this morning. 1.29am.
At Browns Plains paramedics assessed three people following a two-vehicle crash on Waller Road just after 9.30pm. One person was transported to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.
And at Waterford three people were assessed following a four-vehicle crash on Albert Street just after 6pm. A woman in her 30s was taken to Logan Hospital and two other people declined transport to hospital.
