A family road tragedy continues with another death

An eight-year-old boy, injured in a crash that claimed the lives of his mother and sister on the Gore Highway at Captains Mountain, west of Millmerran has died in Toowoomba hospital.

The Chulliyaden family of five were travelling from Orange in New South Wales to Brisbane on Thursday, July 22nd when their Toyota Kluger and a truck were involved in a head-on collision

35 year old Lotsy Jose , and her five-year-old daughter Caitlyn died at the scene.

Tragically, after almost a fortnight, eight-year-old Chris has passed away in hospital.

His 39 year old father Bipin and 2 year old sister Caiden Bipin were also injured in the crash. The 38 year old male truck driver suffered a minor wrist injury.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing and anyone with information about the crash is asked to come forward. This includes those people who may have dashcam footage of either vehicle.
