A pregnant woman who survived a fierce caravan fire in Logan has given birth

The baby of a man who died trying to save his heavily pregnant partner from a horrifying caravan fire has been born.

22 year old Blake Whell passed away in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital hospital around midday yesterday after the caravan he was staying in with his partner, Tomeka Willis, caught fire and exploded in Logan Central about 11 o’clock on Monday night.

The fire is believed to have been started by an E-Scooter.

Neighbour Dennis Birt witnessed the blaze.

Ms Willis was 35 weeks pregnant and remains in a critical but stable condition at the RBWH.

Ms Willis’s and Mr Whell’s healthy baby boy was delivered via caesarean section.
