An armed robber is on the run from police after he went to a restaurant in Macarthy Road at Marsden around six o’clock last night armed with a knife and another firearm and stole the cash register.
Police say he got into the restaurant through a backdoor and threatened three workers with the weapons before they ran from the building in fear.
The man then fled the restaurant with the cash register, which was later located by police a short distance away with all cash still inside.
No one was hurt during the robbery.
The robber is believed to be Caucasian, approximately 175 centimetres tall and was wearing a black mask over his face and a dark coloured jumper.
Logan detectives are appealing to anyone with information, dashcam footage or CCTV in the vicinity of Macarthy Road, Third Avenue and Burrowes Street between 5.45pm and 6.30pm to contact police.
