Armed robbery of Loganholme pawn broker under police investigation

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a pawn broker at Loganholme yesterday morning.

Around 10.45am, a man entered the Bryants Road business, jumped the counter and produced a large knife.

The man then threatened a 37-year-old female employee and demanded cash from the register.

He grabbed some cash from the open till before jumping over the counter and running towards a neighbouring gym.

Neither the employee, a 33-year-old female customer or her two young daughters who were inside the store at the time were injured during the incident.

The man is  Caucasian, approximately 154cm tall with a slim build. He was wearing long blue work-pants, a yellow high-visibility shirt and a white helmet at the time or the robbery.

Investigations continue.
