Back to work & border rules

  • Scott Mayman is an award-winning radio presenter and journalist who has worked professionally in both Australia and in the United States and is also a Correspondent for CBS News Radio in New York.

With rain falling earlier this morning, it was “back to work” for so many across South East Queensland.

The M1 looking very different this-morning, compared with the reduced number of cars on our roads from last week.

A reminder,  Masks must be worn,  even in the workplace pending exemptions, atleast for another fortnight.

Schools re-open but all teachers and high school students must wear a mask.

When it comes to the border,  whether you’re in the Scenic Rim and making the direct cross into New South Wales or crossing over between the Tweed and Coolangatta,  there are a few reminders.

Firstly,  you must obtain a border pass when crossing over from Queensland into New South Wales.

Likewise,  you need a border pass when crossing over from New South Wales into Queensland.

THE FORMS YOU NEED:

You can complete the New South Wales border pass online with just a few simple questions.

The Queensland border X pass is also online but has several more questions. This is ONLY for local border residents and workers.
