A meeting of Logan City Council, set down for Wednesday 7 October, has been delayed 24 hours because of a blackout.

More than 1,000 customers in the Woodridge, Karawatha, Logan Central, Berrinba and Kingston suburbs were impacted when the lights went out.

Energex says the cause of the blackout was identified as a fault at the Woodridge sub-station.

The Council meeting was being held at the Logan Entertainment Centre which also lost supply.

The meeting was rescheduled for Thursday.
