The Boonah Writers Festival is back for its fifth year.
It’s held annually on the Saturday & Sunday of the Labour Day long weekend in May.

This unique event enables participants to attend each and every workshop over a two day period.

Six workshops will be conducted by six leaders in their respective fields.

It also provides the opportunity to meet each presenter in an informal chat during the program breaks and at the gala dinner.

This year, Colin Handley will present his workshop ‘Writing For Action’ on the opening day of the Festival.

It will include some of the more important skills relating to film fighting and general action, including the theory of stunts, stunt tumbling, fight skills, camera work and acting, all of which will create a realistic fight scene on film and in books.

He is a veteran of film and television, has performed stunts and acted in many Films and Television shows in Australia, England and the United States.
He has trained with Chuck Norris, and worked with Arnold Schwarzenegger,  Jean Claude Van Damme,  Sylvester Stallone,
David Hasselhoff, Bruce Willis and Johnny Depp.
According to past participants, the Boonah Writers Festival is “inspirational”!
