Border checkpoints return

Police have asked for patience, now that the Queensland border has closed to all of New South Wales.

New South Wales recorded 124 cases yesterday, while the Sunshine State has had zero.

Deputy Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski admits there there will be delays today:

A bubble has been put in place again, to allow residents living near the border to cross over for essential reasons.

Beaudesert police are heavily involved in the checkpoints involving access to the Scenic Rim,  while Logan District police are assisting their Gold Coast colleagues on the M1 and Coolangatta locations.
