One of three Logan City women accused of breaching Queensland’s strict border conditions has had one of the charges against her dropped.

21-year old Haja Timbo allegedly lied about travelling back to Brisbane from Melbourne last July with two friends, who later tested positive to coronavirus.

The Brisbane Magistrates Court heard Wednesday that prosecutors have agreed to drop a fraud charge against Ms Timbo.

Police claimed that the three women had flown from Melbourne into Brisbane via Sydney in order to bypass hotel quarantine procedures.

All three were charged with providing false and misleading border documents.

Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said at the time that the women allegedly went to Melbourne to party and then returned to Logan City.
