A man who was injured in a bike accident on Christmas Day in Logan City has been identified as an Aussie cricket legend.

Jay Otto led Australia to victory in the 2017 World Cup in Dubai and is regarded as “one of the greatest indoor cricketers of all time”.

The 39 year old suffered horrendous injuries in a motorbike accident on a friend’s rural property in  Mundoolun.

He was riding his Suzuki bike  when it fishtailed on wet grass, catapulting him into the air,  causing him to land face down in a pool of blood.

He suffered a broken back, internal bleeding,  nine shattered ribs and a punctured lung. He’s now  in the orthopaedic trauma ward, facing more surgery and months of rehabilitation.
