Very heavy traffic on the M1 southbound as motorists head home Boxing Day public holiday.
By lunchtime, More than 40 kilometres of congestion had formed on the M1 causing the slow travel,
“It’s just the sheer volume of traffic – no accidents, just too many cars on the road” according to traffic reports.
The M1 southbound congestion extends from the Gateway Motorway merge at Eight Mile Plains all the way through Logan City and down to Helensvale, which is about 40 kilometres.
