Deputy Prime Minister fined for not wearing a face mask

Deputy Prime Minister and Member for New England Barnaby Joyce has been fined $200.00 for failing to wear a face mask in a regional New South Wales town.

Mr Joyce is one of 34 people issued penalties over the last day for breaching public health orders in that state.

Deputy Police Commissioner Gary Worboys said he was spotted without a face mask by a member of the public, who reported him to Crime Stoppers for breaching the state’s mask mandate.
