The Premier has announced South-East Queensland, including Logan City, the Gold Coast and the Scenic Rim will go into lockdown from 6pm tonight.
Annastacia Palaszczuk made the announcement as she delivered news that another four people have returned positive results to Covid tests.
She says the most concerning result is the story of a clerical health worker who travelled to north Queensland.
Another person who returned a positive test is a miner from Ipswich.
The other results were people in hotel quarantine.
The Premier was apologetic in her lockdown announcement, saying she understands it will impact school holidays.
