The member for Woodridge is in hot-water for failing to mention the achievements of the federal government during this year’s pandemic.
Cameron Dick used this week’s “Treasurers Breakfast” in Logan Central, to identify key economic policies and funding initiatives that the state government introduced this year. Click HERE to read our earlier story from this week.
Initiatives include:- more than $600 million on upgrading the Logan Hospital, $50 million towards upgrading and building new schools with a further $26.9 million in 2020-21 to construct a new primary school in North Maclean.
Funding also continued for several high-profile projects that Council had advocated for, including the extension of the south-east busway to Loganholme ($500 million) and upgrades to the Mt Lindesay Highway ($10.6 million).
But the Federal member for Forde – Bert Van Manen says… many of those programs received funding from Canberra, but were never credited
He says it’s disappointing to witness these initiatives being credited only to the Queensland Government, without reflecting the achievements of the Federal authority.
