Fentiman praises retiring community leader

  • Rod Stephen is a former television journalist and has worked as Foreign Editor for the Seven Network, Australian Bureau Chief for TV3 New Zealand, UK correspondent for Seven and ABC radio and as a producer for Reuters TV in London as well as SBS in Sydney and Melbourne before returning to Brisbane to work at 4BC.

The member for Waterford has used Social Media to praise the work of a community leader who’s announced her retirement.
For the past 40 years,  Doctor Heather Nancarrow was heavily involved in the Australian National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety.   For seven years,  she was the CEO.
“ANROWS” is an independent, not-for-profit organisation established by the Commonwealth and state and territory government’s under the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children.
Ms Fentiman has described her work as “outstanding service” where she’s tackled violence against women & their children.
On Twitter she said “Her important work has significantly contributed to government policy and the community services sector”.
The @ANROWS Board and staff thanked Heather for her outstanding service and wish her well.
