Former Logan Thunder junior Rasmus Bach has returned to the team of his youth, signing with the senior men’s team for the 2022 season.
Mr Bach played junior representative basketball as a member of the Under 12s and Under 14s Logan Thunder teams from 2005 – 2008 before moving to the United States of America with his family.
Standing 1.93m and 25 years of age, Mr Bach is currently playing for the New Zealand Breakers in the National Basketball League.
Prior to joining the Breakers, Mr Bach played in Denmark for Danish club Randers Cimbria.
Mr Bach says he is excited to sign with his junior team.
“I signed with the McDonald’s Logan Thunder for a few reasons.
“I signed because of the great program and basketball culture they have there that can help develop my game.
“I wanted to help them win a championship and I’m looking forward to play for the club where I first fell in love with basketball.”
Mr Bach says life has come full circle for him
“I grew up watching the Thunder men’s team play and as a kid loved going to the games.
“When my family moved to the US, I thought I’d never come back, so it will be really cool putting on a Thunder jersey again.”
Mr Bach joins Jeremy Kendle, Michael Cedar, Boston Mazlin and Tom Howard, who will line up for the Thunder Men this year.
