Logan Jobs is an online platform provided by Logan City Council to help connect Logan City jobseekers with local job opportunities, and it has had an influx of local users this year.
Launched in 2017, the site helps Logan businesses find and employ local jobseekers by sharing job opportunities via its jobs page and its Facebook page.
In December 2020, 441 jobs were shared on the Logan Jobs website.
This rose to 788 jobs shared in January 2021.
In January, 15,530 job views were recorded on the website compared to 14,826 views in December.
Deputy Mayor Jon Raven took to social media to support the initiative.

“It’s an initiative I championed last term to make sure that local people can easily find local jobs – as well as jobs in nearby cities,” Cr Raven said.
“Data released this week shows that there are more than double the jobs being advertised in January this year compared to pre-COVID January in 2020.
“This is great news for people who live in our city who are looking for work.”
The highest number of jobs were in trades and services followed by manufacturing and industrial and then health medical and pharmaceutical.
In January, the website had 3993 users compared to 3083 in December.
The Logan Jobs website has more than 15,300 registered members and the Logan Jobs Facebook page has more than 8500 followers.
Local employers can upload jobs to the site for free.
The website provides a resource hub for jobseekers and employers including links to COVID-related support.
