Labor’s Logan MP, Linus Power has applauded the State Government for setting a budget for the next financial year that delivers for Logan families.
Mr Power says the Government is making Logan Healthier by planning to spend $576 million on 206 new hospital beds in the region.
“These historic improvements at Logan Hospital are an investment in the long-term health of Logan Families and are added to by new beds at the QEII hospital.”
“It is part of a record investment in Queensland Hospitals and Health.”
He says, “ There’s also great investment in the Bethania to Logan Village rail trail, creating an iconic active way to connect Yarrabilba, Logan Village Buccan and Bethania.”
“This is a $3.5 million dollar investment in the local community adding to investment from Logan Council.”

“Families can also become more active with the final investment in the Yarrabilba Hive community hub and new second Primary School that was recently announced.”
Mr Power adds,” Funding continues for the new Park Ridge State School Administration and new classrooms and additional Learning spaces for Park Ridge High School.”
“Twelve million dollars has been invested this financial year to finalise the Everleigh State School and $200 000 has been invested in the Park Ridge Pirates AFL club to help them move to their new home.”
He says, “Logan Families continue to be better connected with the investment in the Mt Lindesay Highway including the investment in four-laning the highway between Stoney Camp Rd and Chambers Flat Rd and four-laning the Mt Lindesay in Jimboomba between Johanna Street and South Street.”
“The budget is an active budget for an actively growing area like Logan and we are getting the investment we need as a growing area”
