Local Woolworths stores reimpose limits

Woolworths stores across Logan and the Scenic Rim have reinstated limits on products, including toilet paper and painkillers.

The supermarket giant has reinstated a limit of two packs per customer for toilet paper and painkiller products in-store and online.

The precautionary move comes following recent food and grocery supply chain constraints and pockets of increased demand across certain categories.

Purchase limits are also in place for rapid antigen kits in line with guidelines from the Federal Government.

Customers are currently limited to one pack per purchase, with the packs containing between one to seven testing kits.

Woolworths Director of Stores Jeanette Fenske says the supermarket chain is committed to serving its customers.

“We understand this is an anxious time for our customers across the country but we will remain open and operational as an essential service.

“We will continue to closely monitor product availability across our stores, with stock continuing to be sent to stores daily.

“Customers will notice some gaps on shelves but we’re doing all that we can to meet demand.

“We encourage everyone to be mindful of others in the community and to continue shopping in reasonable quantities.

“We would like to thank our customers for their patience, understanding and ask them to continue to show kindness to our teams who are doing everything they can to support them during this challenging time.”

Woolworths is continuing to see supply chain challenges impact stock levels across the country, due to COVID-19 and high rates of absenteeism.
