To help local artists fund their creative projects Logan City Council has reopened its Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), and has encouraged artists to apply.

Individuals, groups, and organisations can apply for grants valued up to $8000.

This RADF funding is open to professional and emerging artists, and art workers.

Logan City Council has encouraged artists from all professions to apply including: dance, music, design, museum and cultural heritage, new media, visual arts, writing, theatre, and more.

Applicants must either live in Logan City or prove its creative project will benefit Logan City in some way.

Applications  close shortly. Artists have until 5pm on Tuesday, October 15 to apply for funding.

Logan City Council has been funding local art for nearly 20 years now. Last year alone more than $77,000 was allocated to 12 creative projects in Logan City.

Local historic research, art installations, and community workshops are just some of the local creative projects funded by past RADF grants.

RADF is available to local artists thanks to the partnership between the Queensland Government and Local City Council.

To apply contact Logan City Council’s RADF Liaison Officer by calling 3412 5426 or emailing radf@logan.qld.gov.au
