As the days get hotter, Logan City and Scenic Rim locals have found themselves encountering more snakes than usual for this time of year.
Snake expert Raymond Hoer said the pandemic has had a part to play.
“With many people staying indoors during isolation, followed by recent cold weather, the reptiles have not been disturbed and have been more confident about venturing further afield.”
This rise in the number of snake sightings has prompted a reminder for locals to stay alert when outdoors.
