A Logan City man has been arrested over an assault and abduction from a Gold Coast hotel.
Several men went to the hotel at Miami in the early hours of Sunday morning and assaulted a 38-year-old man from Mudgeeraba.
They forced him into a black BMW and drove it to Brisbane while stealing money from the man’s bank accounts along the way, before they forced him out of the car in Auchenflower.
The man was able to get help from a member of the public and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police later found the car in Greenslopes and arrested and charged a 40-year old Eagleby man who was with the vehicle at the time.
He is expected to appear in court.
