The Logan District Drug and Firearm Team and the Logan District Tactical Crime Squad have located a firearm believed to have been used in two armed robberies in Logan and on the Gold Coast in 2019.

Police executed a search warrant at a Yarrabilba address yesterday in relation to firearms offences.

During the search it’s alleged police located a sawn off .22 calibre rifle in a backpack in a wardrobe of a bedroom.

The firearm was rendered safe and seized.

It’s alleged the firearm was used in the armed robbery of a tavern at Beenleigh on April 4, 2019 and again in an armed robbery of a tavern at Norfolk on April 27, 2019.

Police have already made arrests in relation to these two armed robberies.

A 32-year-old woman from Yarrabilba has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.

She will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on the 9th of July.

Investigations are ongoing.
