Logan City Council is commencing a program to replace storm water drainage inlets and selected sections of kerb and channel where required at Drury Lane, Bethania.
It is unknown exactly when work will begin, however it is predicted to run right through December, depending on weather and construction conditions.
Works will be generally occurring between the hours of 6:30am and 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
Due to the nature of the works, some localised construction impacts may be experienced.
This includes:
- Increased levels of noise, dust and vibration adjacent to the construction site;
- Truck movements to and from the work site to deliver materials and equipment, and remove excavated material;
- Equipment and material may be stored on the footpath;
- Access to driveways will be maintained by placing a steel plate over the work site when works are not being undertaken (see photo); and
- Any disturbance to the footpath will be restored to the original condition however slight variances to aesthetics are unavoidable until the new turf is established.
The Council construction team will discuss with residents any issues with property access.
They ask that residents do not walk or drive on the new work for at least 48 hours.
