Logan locals urged to manage mild cases of COVID-19 and the flu at home

As flu and COVID-19 cases continue to rise, health experts are urging  Logan residents to get vaccinated and learn how to manage mild cases at home.

So far this year, more than 7.5 million cases of COVID-19 and more than 140,000 cases of influenza have been reported in Australia.

Emergency departments are also reporting a steady increase in the number of people presenting to hospital with mild to moderate symptoms.

Australia’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Professor Michael Kidd, says there are a number of things you can do to take care of yourself and reduce the burden on the Queensland health system.
