Logan Loves Seniors Day launches this Friday

As Queensland Seniors Month continues to celebrate seniors throughout October, Logan will be launching a dedicated day celebrating seniors in the community this weekend.

Due to inclement weather, Logan Loves Seniors Day – originally expected to be celebrated on Friday 1 October – was moved to Friday 22 October for the safety and comfort of the senior community attending.

Logan Loves Seniors Day is a community celebration connecting seniors with lifestyle and social opportunities available in Logan.

Workshops, activities, exhibitor stalls and gala entertainment from the Rocketman Flying Solo show will be happening at the Logan West Community Centre, Wineglass Drive, Hillcrest from 9am.

City Lifestyle Chair Cr Laurie Koranski encouraged those who hadn’t attended Logan Loves Seniors before to mark the date on their calendars.

“It is our privilege and delight to host this event each year in support of the senior members of our community,” Cr Koranski says.

“Our seniors have given so much to our city over the years and this event is an excellent way to help them stay informed and inspire them to keep dreaming big, even when life slows down.”
