This year, Rebel 905 and My News Feed are on the hunt for the very Best of Logan, because when you are the best, people should know about it!
We want to reward businesses for being the best at what they do.
From the 1st of each month, we will be asking our readers to vote for the Best of Logan in a particular category, with monthly winners to receive:
- a framed certificate stating they are the Best of Logan for the respective category
- free advertising on Rebel FM valued at $4950
- creative writing and production of one commercial valued at $275
- and a feature story in My News Feed
We were looking for Logan’s Best Barber – our readers voted, the tallies counted, and SemizKutz has come out the winner!
Semi Hausia, owner of SemizKutz, says he was shocked and surprised he had take out Logan’s Best Barber, only because he was coming up against the big name barbers that have been around in Logan forever.
“I do take pride in my work, I’m not there to just make a quick dollar, I do try to go above and beyond. Each time slot is half an hour, and I try to do my best, and obviously it’s working,” Semi says.
Semi, who opened SemizKutz 12 months ago, has been learning how to cut hair since the 90’s, but it’s really been in the last 7 years, he has really taken it on.
“One year I did free cuts for a whole year just to get my skills back up,” he says.
So, what do clients love about SemizKutz?
“I interact with them, I get to know their likes and dislikes, I try to talk to them, it doesn’t matter if it’s adults, teenagers, or kids.“That and I’m pretty sure my prices. Also the appointments are outside of business hours, so while the majority of barber shops close at 5pm, but I’m still open.
Semi says he wants to thank all his clients for the support.
“Thank you so much for all the love and support – new, old, and new-to-be [clients], thank you so much and we’ll see you in the future.”
