A breakthrough for investigators with police charging a 23-year-old man over a serious assault more than a week ago in Logan City.
The Bethania man has been charged over the incident, which occured in Logan Reserve, resulting in a 17-year-old boy receiving wounds to the back of his head.
He self-presented at the Logan Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers are investigating whether the boy may have been struck by fragments from a shotgun, fired from a passing vehicle.
The Bethania man appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court yesterday (Wednesday January 27) where he was remanded in custody.
His next court appearance is due in March.
A silver Holden Commodore SS utility bearing Queensland registration GEEES, which detectives believe is relevant to the investigation, has not been located yet.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the vehicle is encouraged to contact police.
