A man has been stabbed in the liver after a violent confrontation with another man in Meadowbrook overnight.
The incident happened just before 8pm on Edenlea Drive after two cars, one believed to belong to a resident of the street, pulled up before both drivers became involved in a dispute.
A witness says one man started punching the car window of the driver, who lived on the street, before opening his car window.
Both men then started fighting in the street when one man lifted up his shirt, where he was bleeding after suffering what appeared to be stab wounds.
The man who was stabbed isn’t believed to be a resident of the street, then got back in his car and sped off followed closely by the other man in his car.
A 25-year-old man has undergone surgery in Logan Hospital for a collapsed lung and a stab wound to his liver.
