This weekend Logan locals will be treated to an incredible 3-day festival celebrating everything from the great outdoors at the d’Albora Horizon Shores Boat & Adventure Show which is set to be bigger than ever with live music performances from local performers, gourmet food, and adventure activities for everyone in the family.

The d’Albora Horizon Shores Boat & Adventure Show will be set at the picturesque d’Albora Horizon Shores Marina in Jacobs Well from this Friday 19th to Sunday 21st November.
“Basically it’s a festival that celebrates everything from the great outdoors,” says Events Manager Alesha Roberts of the d’Albora Horizon Shores Boat & Adventure Show.
“There will be everything from boating, fishing, water sports – we’ve also got lots of adventure and outdoor activities and products, from ultimate motorbikes and Polaris ATV (all terrain vehicle), to STACYC (stability cycle) electric powered push bike tracks which kids can test ride, as well as test rides for the Chiliboat Waterbike.

“We’ve got a lot for the kids at the Hot Wheels Stunt Teams Kids Activation Zone with a Hot Wheels track play table, to a kids colouring in station, plasma tv with Xbox set up, merchandise, showbags and a real size Drift Car and Harley Stunt Bike on display, so there’s a lot of activities throughout the day for everyone.

“There’s also Friday night markets, with our band live on stage from 4pm, and of course our Jetpack Fireworks Show on Friday at 7:30pm. We’ve also got a VIP Seafood & Wine Bar and Beer & BBQ bar on the water, which will have live music in that area, as well as food trucks and demonstrations.
“Then completing the event on Sunday, we have the Marine Auctions boat auction from 2pm.”

Alesha says that whilst the festival has previously focused on boating, they have ramped it up this year.

“This year, because of COVID restrictions, there’s a lot of people looking for things to do outdoors, like camping, and staying closer to home, so as to not worry about travel,” she says.
“This year’s show will have everything outdoors, from boating, camping, fishing, ATVs, and bikes, there’s a lot of different things on offer this year.”
This year’s show will also offer some big prizes giveaways including:
  • Wet berth storage, dry stacker vessel storage, annual boat ramp passes and an Airlie Beach Holiday for 2 people inc flights, accommodation, transfers, spa voucher and restaurant voucher – all by d’Albora
  • Ultimate Motorbikes are offering a $500 KTM voucher and $500 MCAS voucher up for grabs
  • The Wooden Boat Association are giving away a Joey Dinghy Wooden Boat Valued at $1,000
  • and the Gold Coast Heli Tour are giving away 3x 10min scenic flights for up to 3 people

Festival-goers can also expect to see other activities over the 3 days such as M4A1 Gel Blaster target practice, dodgebow archery range and Saturday competition with big prizes, daily jetpack entertainment shows, roving entertainment on Saturday, Gold Coast Helitour Joy Flights and model wooden boat building.
