A 39 year old man from the Ipswich suburb of Deebing Heights will face Stanthorpe Magistrates Court on December the 15th charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and driving under the influence of alcohol.
It’s the result of a 46-year-old Pine Mountain woman, who was a passenger in a vehicle, dying when it rolled at Storm King on Friday the 14th of May.
Early police investigations indicated the Toyota SUV was travelling westbound on Somerville Road at around 11.15 pm when it veered from the road, struck a tree and rolled onto its side.
A second passenger, a 38-year Deebing Heights woman, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious injuries.
Two 38-year-old men and one 46-year-old man were treated for minor injuries at the crash site.
