Logan City deputy mayor Jon Raven has spoken out on his social media about a recent sale which is almost guaranteed to bring ‘much needed jobs to Logan’.
“The 6.25 hectare industrial site at 500 Green Road, Crestmead has been sold for $70.3 million,” he said.
“Construction by Goodman Property Services is set to finish by the end of 2021 which will bring much needed jobs to Logan.
“This development adds to the many projects already underway in Logan, including the Kingston Butter Factory expansion, redevelopment of the Logan PCYC, Loganlea Road to Nujooloo Road upgrade, the Logan Hospital expansion, and the $749 million M1 and busway upgrade.
“We have good evidence from businesses that are already here that they like to employ locals.
“Or failing that employees often relocate to be close to their work.
“That’s not universal of course, but it is a consistent trend. This is reflected in a number of our existing industrial estates.
“Access to a local workforce is one of the appealing parts of investing in Logan.”
