Motorcyclist killed in Toowoomba

A motorcyclist has died in a weekend crash in Toowoomba.

Police say a ute turned into the path of the 30 year old male rider on Gladstone street.

The Withcott man was taken to Toowoomba Hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

The 26-year-old man from the utility was uninjured and the motorbike was extensively damaged.

Anyone with dashcam or further information regarding incident is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Earlier,  the lifeflight helicopter was called out to the Southern Downs after a man was flung over the handlebars of his bike.

The crash occurred early Sunday.

The man,  aged in his 20’s,  suffered a suspected broken leg.

He was flown to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
