Supt Mark Wheeler addresses the media

Police Chief Superintendant Mark Wheeler says those doing the wrong thing,  WILL be caught and ordered to turn around or be issued with a $1,334 fine for refusing to comply.

Officers will beef-up patrols in marked and unmarked police cars  to identify cars travelling to south that are registered in Logan City and the Greater Brisbane areas.

The three-day lockdown started at 6 o’clock last night and will continue until Monday night.

It’s in response to a hotel quarantine worker who tested positive to the UK strain, which is running rampant across the northern hemisphere.
