Police investigation into motorcyclist death continues

These were the CCTV pictures taken just before a fatal motorcycle crash at Cornubia on Tuesday, July 20.

It shows two motorcyclists together at a Cornubia service station, and the intersection of Logandale and Beenleigh Redland Bay Road, just prior to the crash.

Investigations indicate that just after 9.30pm, a motorcyclist was travelling along Mount Cotton Road when he lost control, hit a culvert and was thrown from the motorcycle.

A 31-year-old Cedar Vale man died at the scene.

Subsequent investigations indicate that a second motorcyclist who knew the victim was travelling in convoy with him at the time, but left the scene of the crash prior to police arriving.

Police are appealing for that motorcyclist to come forward as part of the investigation into the fatal crash.
