Possible showers over Christmas

Logan and Scenic Rim residents should plan for wet weather this Christmas, with a shower or two forecast from Thursday through to Sunday. 

According to the weather bureau, there will be between 60 to 70 per-cent chance of rain from Thursday, December 23 to Sunday December 26.

Meteorologist Helen Kirkup says the wet Christmas weather will be brought by the trough as it makes its way eastward through outback Queensland.

 

 

Despite the possible wet weather, Logan will record maximum temperatures of 31 °C (Thursday), 29 °C (Friday), 29 °C (Saturday) and 30 °C (Sunday), while the mercury will drop to 21 °C (Thursday), 19 °C (Friday), 19 °C (Saturday) and 19 °C (Sunday) in the early and latter parts of the day.

In the Scenic Rim, Beaudesert will record maximum temperatures of 31 °C (Thursday), 29 °C (Friday), 29 °C (Saturday) and 30 °C (Sunday), while the temperature will drop to 20 °C (Thursday), 20 °C (Friday), 19 °C (Saturday) and 18 °C (Sunday) in the cooler parts of the day.
