Annastacia Palaszczuk has been returned as Queensland Premier.
The Labor Party has recorded a 4.9 per cent swing to it across Queensland.
Locally – we’ve already got confirmation of several MP’s retaining their seats,
Labor’s Mick De Brenni has claimed victory in the seat of Springwood. He holds 59% of the vote – over the LNP’s Kirrly Boulton on 34% – where 60% of the votes have been counted.
In Woodridge, where The ALP sitting member CAMERON DICK is also assured of being retained. 38% percent of the votes have been counted, with the Queensland Treasurer holding 68% of the vote.
About 46% of the votes have been counted in the Logan electorate – MP LINUS POWER is the clear leader on 53%….
Checking Macalister…. 67% of the vote has been counted and the ALP’s Melissa McMahon 45% of the vote. The LNP’s Judi Van Manen is her nearest rival on 26 percent.
The ALP’s Shannon Fentiman looks to be returned for the seat of Waterford…. 48% of the vote has been counted and she’s holding on to 57% of the count so-far.
….and in the Scenic Rim, 54% of the vote’s been counted and the LNP’s Jon Krause is the clear leader, so far with 48% of the count.

Labor’s Mick De Brenni is assured of being retained for the seat of Springwood.
He holds a 50% lead over the LNP’s Kirrly Boultion on 31% – where 33% of the votes have been counted.
Checking Macalister…. 24% of the vote has been counted and the ALP’s Melissa McMahon 45% of the vote
The LNP’s Judi Van Manen is her nearest rival on 23 percent.
The ALP’s Shannon Fentiman looks to be returned for the seat of Waterford…. 48% of the vote has been counted and she’s holding on to 57% of the count so-far.
….and in the Scenic Rim, 45% of the vote’s been counted and the LNP’s Jon Krause is the clear leader, so far with 46% of the count.

Counting is well underway – as the Queensland state election hits crunch time, after nearly a month-long campaign race.
About 30% of the votes have been counted in the Logan electorate – MP LINUS POWER is the clear leader on 52%….
In Woodridge, 33% of the vote has been counted. The ALP sitting member CAMERON DICK is the clear leader, holding 67% of the count
Labor’s Mick De Brenni holds a 51% lead over the LNP’s Kirrly Boultion on 31% in Springwood where 20% of the votes have been counted.
Checking Macalister…. 20% of the vote has been counted and the ALP’s Melissa McMahon 45% of the vote
The LNP’s Judi Van Manen is her nearest rival….
Early figures would suggest, The ALP’s Shannon Fentiman looks to be returned for the seat of Waterford…. 20% of the vote has been counted and she’s holding on to 54% of the count so-far.
.and in the Scenic Rim, 23% of the vote’s been counted and the LNP’s Jon Krause is the clear leader, so far with 43% of the count.
Across Queensland, 330,000 postal votes and 925,000 pre-poll votes will also be counted tonight… but analysts say, we should NOT be expecting an outcome for atleast a few days…..
A big factor going against the LNP appears to be the collapse of the ONE NATION vote. It’s down more than five percent.

With the vote count underway, Logan MP LINUS POWER is well ahead and is assured of being returned, based on 4% of the count.
In Woodridge, The ALP sitting member CAMERON DICK is the clear leader, holding 1,300 votes ahead of his nearest rival.
Labor’s Mick De Brenni holds nearly a 400 vote lead over the LNP’s Kirrly Boultion in Springwood
Checking Macalister…. And the ALP’s Melissa McMahon holds the early lead… The LNP’s Judi Van Mannen is her nearest rival….
