Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in Toowoomba over the next several hours.
The areas may also include Logan, Gatton and Jimboomba, as well as the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Ipswich and Cleveland.
Rainfall totals of 30-60 mm have been seen around Brisbane over the past couple of hours. Loudoun Bridge (southwest of Dalby) recorded 51mm in an hour early this morning.
If severe thunderstorms develop in the Southeast area (east of Dalby from Rainbow Beach to Stanthorpe), a more detailed Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued to people in the area.
