Souths Logan Magpies name new head coach

The Souths Logan Magpies Intrust Super Cup team has named a new head coach. Steve Bretherton has signed on as coach for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

He has coached rugby league for 14 years, starting out with Souths Juniors, before becoming part of the Souths Logan system.

“As a football club, we are extremely keen to further define our strong affiliations with our junior teams and corridor clubs, in conjunction with the schools in our catchment, and in so doing provide the pathway that sees all juniors aspire to one day wear the Souths Logan Magpies jersey,” Bretherton told qrl.com.au

The new coach will take the reins from previous head coach Jon Buchanan.

The Souths Logan Magpies preseason is due to kick off in November.
