A teenage boy is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash involving an e-scooter in Logan yesterday morning.
Just after 8.30 the15-year-old local boy was riding the e-scooter south on the footpath along Basalt Drive at Yarrabilba when he fell off and struck his head.
He sustained critical injuries at the scene, with bystanders providing first aid, including CPR ahead of the emergency response and transportation to the Queensland Children’s Hospital and then the Princess Alexandra Hospital for brain surgery..
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the collision, which involved no other person or motor vehicle, and are urging witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police, especially those with dashcam vision to come forward.
