Police have arrested five teenage boys in connection with an armed robbery at Eight Mile Plains following a pursuit overnight.

Police allege at 11:45pm Wednesday two 15-year-olds and three 14-year-olds armed with knives forced their way into an address on Warrigal Avenue.

They allegedly stole keys to two vehicles and left in a stolen Nissan sedan.

Police sighted that car in Macgregor just before 2am and followed it for several kilometres.

A short time later, a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed on Creek Road, Carindale.

Four of the boys were arrested at the scene without incident, while the fifth boy allegedly fled and was located by the Dog Squad a short time later and taken into custody.

All are due to appear in the Brisbane Children’s Court.
