Investigations continue after the death of a 27 year old man while being detained by police at Wilsonton last Thursday.
An autopsy was conducted yesterday, and the cause of death is unknown at this time.
In consultation with the State Coroner, the Queensland Police Service has advised the man’s family and further testing is underway, which is expected to take some time before the results are known.
Police, in consultation with the State Coroner, will continue to advise the family on any updates.
Ethical Standards Command is continuing with investigations being overseen by the State Coroner and the Crime and Corruption Commission, both of which are independent .
That investigation, which will consider all circumstances surrounding the man’s death, is ongoing and as such police are not in a position to make any further comment at this time.
