Forecasters say the run of dry weather is coming to an end.

Showers began falling yesterday across Logan City and the Scenic Rim.

The Weather Bureau says conditions will ramp up across the weekend,  with storms expected to hit from Sunday,  with wet conditions expected to stay with us,  into next week.

“The further west and inland you are,  the more prone you’ll be for storm activity” according to a bureau forecaster.

“it’s all because of a trough that’s tracking from the west, towards the coast”.

Up 25mm of rain is expected for Logan City and parts of the Scenic Rim for Sunday.
