The boss of a major Yarrabilba real estate business believes the quarter of a percent interest rate increase from point one to point 35 per-cent won’t stop people moving to the Logan suburb.
Christie Smith, from L.J Hooker Real Estate, says that’s because the price of homes and the cost of renting in Yarrabilba is more affordable than Brisbane or the Gold Coast or many other big Australian cities.
Currently three to four bedroom homes range in price from $450 thousand up to $499 thousand and rents are between $350 to $440 dollars a week depending on the size of the property.
The four bedroom homes come with single or double lock up garages and two bathrooms on compact blocks that range from 250 to 320 square metres.
