Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have released CCTV vision as a part of their investigation into the armed robbery of a Meadowbrook service station overnight.
Around 11 o’clock the bandit stormed into the Loganlea Road business brandishing a shotgun – pointed it at the female staff member and demanded she hand over money which she did.
The staff member wasn’t hurt and the man fled the service station in a waiting vehicle.
The armed bandit is a Pacific Islander, around 180 centimetres tall with a solid build and an olive complexion.
He was wearing a blue and white long sleeved flannelette shirt, a dark coloured beanie with a black shirt, black pants and a surgical face mask.
Investigators are appealing to anyone with information to contact them, and are asking homeowners, businesses and motorists in the vicinity to provide relevant CCTV or dashcam footage. Anonymous reports can also be made.
