Police have charged two people with weapons and drugs offences following an alleged gel blaster incident in Springwood overnight.
Around 10.30 police allege bystanders saw a man brandishing a weapon inside a white 2005 Holden Commodore station wagon in the carpark of a fast food restaurant on the Pacific Highway, before fleeing the scene in the vehicle.
Police tracked the vehicle to nearby Park Road at Slacks Creek and when they searched it they allegedly discovered a gel blaster and dangerous drugs before arresting the occupants.
A 28-year-old Waterford West man was charged with one count of going armed so as to cause fear and another charge of possessing dangerous drugs.
A 27-year-old woman from the same Logan suburb was charged with one count of possessing unauthorised and prohibited explosives or fireworks and four drug offences.
Both were granted police bail and will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court next month.
