A young couple has faced court charged with trespassing in a military area to get to the Killarney Glen Falls.
The 22 year old woman and 23 year old man both pleaded guilty in court to a charge of unauthorised entry of defence premises.
The Beaudesert Magistrates court was told, they had to cut-across the ADF’s property, through an unrepaired hole in the fence, to get to the heart shaped falls area.
Access to the Killarney Glen Falls had previously been closed by Defence officials, following the 2016 death of a 19 year old.
The judge dismissed the case saying the couple’s court appearance was penalty enough.. But also remarked that Defence Force officials had plenty of time to fix the hole in the fence.
