Scenic Rim Council officers at the markets today

The Scenic Rim Council is asking for public input on their ‘Connected Communities Strategy’

Today you get to have your say at the Beaudesert Markets.  Council officers are on site discussing how you can help develop a community and culture strategy that ensures our region is inclusive, welcoming, resilient and more connected into the future.

The Scenic Rim is a special place to live – we enjoy a relaxed rural lifestyle with strong connections to our natural and indigenous heritage, a vibrant artistic scene and access to some of the world’s best produce.

The strategy will integrate the existing Health and Wellbeing Plan, Regional Libraries Strategic Plan and Arts and Cultural Policy to provide a new direction for our community programs, spaces and services.

The Council is asking for residents feedback about what community issues matter most to them and for ideas for the future.

You can have your say between now and Friday 8 October 2021.

Today, the project team will be at the Beaudesert markets, but will also be holding focus groups and online meetings with local Indigenous groups, youth, community leaders and other key stakeholders.

You can also have your say online.  Take the opportunity now to complete the council’s survey here.
