
Logan City Council says there’s nothing to prevent a planned upgrade the Kingston Animal Management Centre.
The comment follows complaints from locals that they believe the centre’s refurbishment has been delayed.
Deputy Mayor Jon Raven says the upgrade is on track and there’s no question the welfare of the animals comes first.
Nearly two years ago, Council earmarked nearly $16 million modernise its Kingston Animal Management Centre in a project spanning a three year period.
Council’s Animal Care Strategy 2018-2022 recognised that pets were an important part of Logan life
